With 76.7 points out of 100, Spain ranks 4th in the EU on the Gender Equality Index 2024. Spain’s score is 5.7 points above the EU score1.
Since 2021, Spain’s score has increased by 0.3 points, maintaining its 4th position. The improvement in the money
domain (+ 1.2 points) was the main driver of this increase.
However, scores in other areas have remained stable. Since 2010, Spain has seen a significant increase of 10.3 points in its overall score, largely due to improvements in the domain of power (+ 29.4 points) and the domain of time (+ 9.6 points).
